FAMECO NEGOTIATES LEASE FOR

AUTOZONE IN JEFFERSONVILLE, PA.

     JEFFERSONVILLE, PA.—Fameco Real Estate represented AutoZone in leasing one acre of land at 2551 W.  Main Street in Jeffersonville, Pa., for a free-standing unit, it was announced by Brandon Famous, CEO and founder of the retail real estate firm based in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.  The new store is scheduled to open in July.

     Fameco’s Jon Kieserman, who represented AutoZone in the Jeffersonville transaction, earlier negotiated a 7,000 s.f. lease for the nation’s leading auto parts and accessories retailer at 4201 N. Marshall Street in Philadelphia.  That free-standing store just opened. 

 
     Kieserman said the two leases made 10 in all  that Fameco has negotiated on behalf of AutoZone in the Delaware Valley, where it is the retailer’s exclusive  tenant representative.  He noted that, in a period of declining sales for many retailers, AutoZone’s sales increased by 3% in the second quarter of 2008.

       Starting as a single Auto Shack store in Forrest City, Ark., in 1979, AutoZone now has more than 4,000 stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico and is listed in the Fortune 500.
