TWO VETERAN RETAIL SPECIALISTS JOIN FAMECO REAL ESTATE
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA.--Fameco Real Estate has expanded its staff of
experienced retail real estate specialists with the addition of Karen Mikulski and Fred Younkin, both formerly of the Norfolk office of the Shopping Center Group of Virginia, it was announced by Troy Peple, President of Fameco, based in Conshohocken, Pa.
An agent with The Shopping Center Group, Virginia division since 1997 and a partner in the Virginia firm since 2001, Mikulski concentrated on landlord and tenant representation. Prior to that she handled a leasing portfolio in excess of 1 million s.f. at Norfolk's Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler (now Advantis GVA), which ranged from enclosed malls to strip centers. She has completed transactions for such retailers as Athlete's Foot, Bally Total Fitness, Famous Footwear, Five Below, Hollywood Video, T-Mobile, Great Clips, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Firehouse Subs, LA Weight Loss, Limited and Panera Bread, among others. An active member of the ICSC, she has served on the committee for the Virginia ICSC.
Younkin also brings broad experience to his new position, with an
extensive background in landlord representation, tenant representation, tenant surplus disposition and sales in both office and retail real estate. An ICSC member, he served in the US Marine Corps from 1988 to 1994 and in 2000 began working for the Norfolk office of The Shopping Center Group. Younkin has completed assignments for such venerable retailers as Advance Auto, Lasik Vision, Movita Enterprises, rue21, Salsarita’s, Staples, SuperValu, and Winn Dixie.
Prior to Mikulski and Younkin, Fameco added James Creed, Jr. to its staff to accommodate the rapid growth of its business. A resident of Valley forge, Pa., Creed brings extensive knowledge and experience in the restaurant business to the company. His family operates several restaurants on the Main Line.
