Fameco Real Estate Shows Explosive Growth in 2009
WOODBRIDGE, NJ – In June, 2008, Plymouth Meeting, PA-based Fameco Real Estate, LP established a presence in central and northern NJ by opening an office in Woodbridge, NJ. In just 18 months, the growth of the Woodbridge office is nothing short of explosive. As a result, Fameco has emerged as the dominant retail brokerage firm in the market.
Fameco has successfully secured two of the most high profile new development leasing assignments in the region, Teterboro Landing and The Point at Sayreville. Teterboro Landing is a proposed 63-acre mixed-use development to be located across from the Teterboro Airport at the intersection of Routes 17 and 46 in the heart of Bergen County. With redevelopment approval in place this project will include 425,000+ square feet of retail plus office and a hotel. The project will transform an aging industrial site into a vibrant development meeting the needs of the surrounding residential and business population. The Point at Sayreville, a new super regional destination, when fully developed will include more than 4 million square feet of retail, entertainment, residential and specialty tenants of which 2 million square feet will make up the retail and entertainment components. The site, which has great visibility, will be further enhanced by a new southbound Garden State Parkway ramp. In addition, Fameco’s NJ team has been chosen by Kimco Realty to represent the vacancies at the A&P, Marshall’s and HomeGood’s anchored Holmdel Towne Center as well as by other owners across the region representing in excess of 3 million square feet of retail leasing assignments.
Fameco continues to secure an impressive stable of expanding retailer assignments in the region. Just recently, Fameco was awarded the assignment to represent Walmart and Sam’s Club in Bergen, Passaic, Essex and Somerset New Jersey Counties. Darden restaurants, the parent company of Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Seasons 52 and Bahama Breeze and retailers like Staples, Aldi, Crème de la Crème, At Home Recreation and Chipotle have selected Fameco to assist them with their store expansion programs.
According to Brandon Famous, Fameco’s Founder and CEO, “our clients continue to request our expertise in these markets. We have successfully turned several Delaware Valley retailer assignments into regional ones covering central and northern New Jersey. Such opportunities spurred our desire to open an office in this market and we are thrilled with the results thus far.”
Fameco specializes in retailer representation, owner representation, investment sales and management services in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and beyond. The firm is the exclusive representative for over 200 shopping centers and retail properties totaling 17 million square feet, manages more than 11 million square feet of retail space and exclusively represents more than 75 retailers expanding in the tri-state area. Fameco’s Investment Sales Team has completed transactions in excess of $1 billion. Fameco is the ChainLinks member shareholder in the Delaware Valley. ChainLinks is the nation's largest retail-only real estate provider with 62 regional brokerage firms in the U.S. and Canada.
