NEW TENANTS JOIN UPLAND SQUARE

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA. — Fameco Real Estate, L.P., the region’s foremost full service retail real estate firm is pleased to announce that it has signed 3 new  leases totaling 30,000 square feet at Upland Square in Pottstown, PA.

AC Moore has signed a lease for 21,600 square feet and is expected to open in Spring, 2011. Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet has signed a lease for 6,000 square feet and will join other restaurants, Chili’s, Pizza Hut and Subway at the shopping center.  GNC signed a lease for 1,600 square feet and will open in December of this year.  The leasing efforts at Upland Square are spearheaded by Fameco principal Adam Kohler and senior sales associate Cathy Agnew. According to Kohler, “Upland Square opened in Summer, 2009 during a very challenging economic environment. Nevertheless, we are pleased that we have achieved more than 90% occupancy of the space we built.  It proves that a well positioned center can attract quality tenants in any market – we are very proud of the tenant roster at Upland.”  Existing tenants at Upland Square include Target, Giant, Best Buy, Staples, LA Fitness, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petco, TJ Maxx, Five Below and Famous Footwear.  Upland Square is owned by joint venture partners Cedar Shopping Centers, Inc. and Tristate Ventures, LP.  Upland Square was named Best New Retail Development in 2009 by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
