FAMECO REAL ESTATE STAFFS CENTER CITY OFFICE

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA— Fameco Real Estate, LP the region’s dominant retail brokerage firm, has opened an office in Center City Philadelphia to better accommodate the growth of its clientele in the market.  According to Brandon Famous, Fameco’s CEO and Partner, “We will have a full complement of retail brokerage expertise in the office when we open in early June.”

The office will be staffed by Michael Gray and Jackie Balin and Fameco newcomers Paige Barrow and Eva Redette. In addition, Fameco partners Jeffrey Cohen, Brandon Famous and Rick Schuch will spend time in the Center City office and will oversee this new initiative.  The team will focus on aggressively expanding the portfolio of high profile leasing assignments and growing the stable of Center City retailers Fameco represents.

Though Gray will relocate from Fameco’s Plymouth Meeting office, he is no stranger to the Center City leasing scene. He has represented City Sports, Saxbys, Clear and Pot Belly, among others. Jackie Balin has been instrumental in securing some major downtown assignments and is representing LA Fitness, Walmart and Checkers. Fameco partner, Jeffrey Cohen said, “Balin’s understanding of the nuances of the market is quite impressive, her relationships with owners run deep and she is establishing a great rapport with the retailers.”   Barrow was previously a sales assistant at Michael Salove Company for 3 years where she focused exclusively on Center City leasing.  “Barrow’s knowledge of the Center City streetscape is significant,” said Fameco Chief Operating Officer, Michael Levin, adding that “Barrow’s experience on both the retailer and landlord sides will be a nice benefit for Fameco.” Redette has relocated from New York where she was a Director at PBS Real Estate; a retail brokerage firm led by Laura Pomerantz that specializes in representing upscale retailers both in New York and internationally. While at PBS, Redette represented retailers such as Radley of London, Kira Plastinina, Petite Bateau, Shabby Chic and Timberland, among others. Prior to that Redette worked at Giorgio Armani.

In the past few months Fameco has been retained by some the city’s most prominent owners and developers to represent them in leasing their space. Fameco now represents Dranoff Properties, AMC Delancey and Core Asset Management, the developer of the 15 acre site across from the Sugarhouse Casino, in addition to a host of other well known owners. For years, Fameco has been assisting retailers with their Center City requirements.  Fameco currently represents such retailers as Chipotle, Panera, City Sports, Saxbys and LA Fitness in the market.

The largest retail-oriented real estate brokerage firm in the region, Fameco Real Estate represents 200 shopping centers encompassing more than 20 million square feet of retail space in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and beyond.
