FAMECO NEGOTIATES LEASE FOR
PAYLESS SHOESOURCE IN
ATLANTIC CITY'S DYNAMIC RETAIL DISTRICT
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.-- Fameco Real Estate represented Payless ShoeSource in a long-term, 5,017 s.f. lease at Baltic and Arkansas Avenues in Atlantic City's famous mixed-use district, "The Walk." The store is scheduled to open this fall. Fameco’s Jed Masloff represented Payless in the transaction.
The largest specialty family footwear retailer in the western hemisphere, Payless will join such popular retailers as Liz Claiborne, Brooks Brothers, Coach, Banana Republic, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole and many others in "The Walk," which spans 15 city blocks at the foot of the Atlantic City Expressway -- the major corridor from Philadelphia and its suburban communities.
Founded in 1956 in Topeka, Kansas, Payless serves millions of customers annually through its network of more than 4,500 stores in all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Sales in fiscal year 2006 totaled $2.8 billion.
