FAMECO REPRESENTS
LAKESHORE LEARNING MATERIALS IN LEASE
AT MARKET PLACE IN CHERRY HILL, N.J.
CHERRY HILL, N.J.--Fameco Real Estate represented Lakeshore Learning Materials in a 7,000 s.f. lease at the Market Place at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill, N.J., it was announced by Jon Kushner, Principal of the retail real estate firm based in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
According to Fameco's Kushner and David Vitali, who represented Lakeshore in the transaction, the new store at Route 70 and Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill is the third for the educational products company in New Jersey. Other locations include East Brunswick and Hackensack. Lakeshore will join other tenants including Wegmans, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Panera, Olly Shoes and many others at this awarding winning center in Cherry Hill.
Lakeshore started as a single toy store in 1954, when Ethelyn Kaplan, an Omaha homemaker, moved to California and started her own business. She focused on selling educational toys to parents, but local schools soon started calling her for art materials and other classroom supplies. Sensing an untapped market, she sold the store and started Lakeshore Learning Materials, a mail-order school-supply company.
Now a company with 40 retail stores and a successful mail-order business that serves teachers, parents and children all over the globe, Lakeshore offers a wide variety of top-quality educational products, from furniture and art materials to puzzles, hands-on learning kits and products that focus on multiculturalism and special needs.
